Som Nit Born – A Favorite for Families in Barcelona

Som Nit Born occupies a 19th-century Neoclassical building that was chosen to feature in the first photograph ever taken in Spain. The guest house is located in the Born district, 500 metres from the Picasso Museum and within a 10-minute walk of Barceloneta Beach. Picasso himself lived in this building, adding a layer of cultural history to the stay.

The soundproofed rooms come with a flat-screen TV, private bathroom with shower, and effective temperature control. Some rooms feature a balcony, and each room has a distinct style; staff provide personalized travel tips upon check-in. The guest house offers family-friendly accommodations with room options for large groups, and all rooms include a refrigerator and safe deposit box.

The guest house provides free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property, daily housekeeping, and luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. A 24-hour security system with CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access ensures safety, while a vending machine and electric vehicle charging station are available on site. Airport shuttle service, bicycle rental, and a tour desk help guests explore the city.

The guest house is accessible via a lift, with wheelchair-accessible rooms and bathrooms equipped with grab rails. Facilities for disabled guests include a private bathroom with wheelchair access, and the property is fully non-smoking with heating and air conditioning. Family rooms are available, and the check-in process includes a late check-in option with a code system for entry outside reception hours.

La Rambla Street, Port Vell Harbor, and the Gothic Quarter can be reached within a 10-minute walk from the guest house. The Barceloneta Metro Station is 2 minutes away, and the Sightseeing Bus stop is 200 metres from the property. A wide range of bars and restaurants are located within a 1-minute walk through the Born district.
